About the Lightshow

The Yates Family Christmas Lightshow is a holiday light display in Salem, Illinois, where the lights move in time with the music.

Your song, our lights

What makes this show different is that you help pick the music. Search the song list on your phone, request a favorite, and watch for it in the live queue. When it comes up, the whole display plays along.

Made for families

The show is free to enjoy from the street. Bring the kids, roll the windows down (or tune in), and stay as long as you like. Please take a minute to read our Good Neighbor Guide before you come.

Season

The lightshow runs December 1 to December 31, 2026. Nightly show times are posted on the Schedule page.
