Privacy Policy

This website is run by the Yates family for the Christmas Lightshow. We keep what we collect to a minimum.

Song requests

When you request a song we store the song, the time and, if you type them, a first name and a dedication message. Your first name may appear in the public queue; dedications are only seen by the show's organizers. You can request without a name.

Limits and spam protection

To keep requests fair we set a random ID cookie on your device and store a scrambled (hashed) version of it with your requests. We also briefly use a scrambled version of your internet address to stop floods of requests. We don't use these to identify you.

Visitor counts

We count page visits and unique visitors per day using that same scrambled ID. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share data.

Saved on your device

Favorites, recent searches, your list of requests and your night/day choice are stored only in your own browser.

Contact messages

If you send a message, we store your name, email and message so we can reply.
